Banco Central decreta liquidação de distribuidora de títulos envolvida com o Master

Em uma demonstração de rigor na fiscalização do mercado e na proteção dos poupadores, o Banco Central decretou, nesta sexta-feira (26), a liquidação extrajudicial da Sefer Investimentos. A distribuidora de títulos financeiros, sediada em São Paulo, foi alvo recente da segunda fase da Operação Compliance Zero, que investiga fraudes ligadas ao caso do Banco Master.

A ação firme da autoridade monetária visa garantir a higidez do Sistema Financeiro Nacional. Segundo o órgão regulador, a medida foi necessária devido ao “comprometimento da situação econômico-financeira da distribuidora, sujeitando seus credores quirografários a risco anormal, bem como por graves violações às normas legais que disciplinam a atividade da instituição”.

Como parte das medidas de responsabilização, os bens dos controladores e dos ex-administradores da Sefer Investimentos foram declarados indisponíveis a partir desta sexta-feira. A empresa é classificada no segmento S4, considerado de pequeno porte, e detém menos de 0,0004% do ativo total do sistema, além de 0,17% dos recursos administrados de terceiros.

A atuação do Banco Central reforça a importância do controle público e da regulação estatal para coibir abusos no setor financeiro e proteger os cidadãos. Procurada para se manifestar sobre a decisão e as investigações, a Sefer Investimentos não retornou os contatos.
